So I basically did a 5 and 1 program meaning every 2-3 hours I ate a meal replacement and 1 time a day I would have a delicious lean and green meal, which consisted of 5-7 ounces of lean protein and three servings of vegetables. While on the plan you're not suppose to exercise vigorously which was a bit of a change for me. But on days when my hubby would get off work early and wanted to play tennis, we would go , and I would just add in a bit more protein. And I loved that I could tailor the program to fit my daily needs! But after being on the program for a week I had already lost 4.5 lbs so I was super motivated and was totally okay with cutting back on my exercise if I could see some dramatic results!
I really enjoyed being on the diet because I knew I could be on the go all day long with my kids and still have a healthy protein/carb balanced meal readily available. Also, only having to prepare 1 meal for myself was such a relief! I cant say enough, how easy the program is! All I did was eat what I was told , cut back on the exercise and the weight literally started to melt away! It doesn't matter if you have 10, 30, or 100 lbs to lose, this will work for you! You just have to be completely motivated and Ready to change!
You start loosing weight immediately. I lost 4.5 pounds the first week, mostly water weight, and then my body went into fat burning mode and I started loosing 2 pounds of fat per week. Obviously results vary. Because you're doing one lean and green meal every day you learn new recipes and new ways to cook and eat healthy food. Which I loved! Transitioning back to real food was easy and you have a mentor every step of the way in case you need help or encouragement. By the time you're ready for real food again, you've learned certain habits that will help you keep the weight off for good.
I dont mind calling this a diet because that is what it is. But it has also allowed me to change my lifestyle.I now eat mostly a paleo lifestyle(Fruits, Vegetables, Lean Protein). Of course there are days that I eat something outside of that but I'm totally okay with that ,everything in moderation! I am so happy with the confidence I have gained( knowing that whatever I set my mind to , I can achieve)! I feel much healthier than I have in years and I'm so happy I started my weight loss journey!
