Modest is the new chic

Dress: A'GACI | Top:Kylee Similar |Jewelry:Thrifted|Shoes: JustFab

So I have come to the conclusion that modest is the new chic. Is it just me, or is it getting easier to be modest while still retaining your inner fashionista? Maxi skirts are super trendy right now and I'm sure their main comeback to society is not solely to promote modesty, but I feel like the world is starting to shift towards it. So embrace your inner modest self :D!

Here is my simple little Black and Cream Outfit. I bought this cream maxi dress months ago and it is a tank top dress , so personally , I would have to pair it with a Jacket, cardigan or in this case: put a Peplum top over it. I love the sophistication this adds. This is way more chic than just pairing it with a cardigan(In my opinion). I added the Belt because I felt that it needed a little continuation of color.I'm sure you could have done a pop of color but I was going for timeless chic.

What do you think? Are you loving this maxi trend?

Thanks so much Genesis and Deidre!!!The best part is that its so versatile! You can really spruce this look as much as you want: just by adding a super bold print maxi (and accessories of course)! I'm glad you liked it:)!

Love it ! I need ideas for nice professional work outfits. I work in a lab and can be pretty casual; mainly I can't wear open toed shoes and I am on my feet all day so I want to have some comfy but cute outfits. Any ideas? and I'm running around so it can get pretty hot in there too (since I am wearing my lab coat).

Thanks so much Neesa! So it totally depends on what your style is and what your comfortable in.. but you could totally rock some cute ornate leathery flats (http://pinterest.com/pin/282389839104769892/) or some boots. You could do ankle booties or mid calf(riding boots). Hope that helps:)!
