How To Choose A Carseat

It feels like it was just yesterday that we were scouring the aisles of Babies R Us, looking for the best car seat for our little bundle of joy. But in reality it has been almost six years since we purchased our first car seat. And we have learned so much since then, we now know exactly what to look for in a car seat.
As parents, we all want our children to be safe, so obviously safety is of the utmost importance when choosing a car seat. I always look at the tests done by Consumer Reports to have a starting list of car seats & brands to research.

Then from there I go through my wishlist:
*Will this accommodate my child for a long period of time{Can they grow with it}
 *Is it easy to Install/Uninstall
*Will it fit in our car {This is big, since we own a tiny Corolla}.

After much research we finally decided upon the Chicco NextFit Convertible car seat{ For our youngest}.

One of the things that stood out in my mind after researching the NextFit was that it was reinforced with steal while still being super comfortable & having ample padding. Giving my little one comfort & superior protection.

After reading so many good reviews online, I had some pretty high expectations for this car seat.

So, I was a bit nervous when I was actually installing it{All two minutes of it, until I realized I was done}. This was seriously the easiest pain-free car seat installation I've ever done.
With the holidays just around the corner, we anticipate moving car seats from one car to another quite frequently. So, the ease of uninstalling & installing the car seat is pretty important to us.
I love all the innovative safety & convenience features that Chicco has built into the NextFit. Like the SuperCinch™  -LATCH tightener that allows you to achieve a tight and secure fit with the pull of a hand. And the clearly labeled instructions{On the other side of the car seat, there is another tether labeled "Pull 1st"}. Which is just genius! Because, it ensures  that anyone who is watching your kids, will know how to install the seat properly in their car.
The ReclineSure® Leveling System & Two Ride Right bubble levels are also really great features that take the guesswork out of installing the seat. It makes it so easy to adjust for either forward-facing or rear-facing children.
A feature I really like is that the NextFit grows with your baby, easily adjusting to fit your baby as they grow{5 to 65 lbs}. The headrest easily expands vertically to provide the proper coverage while the harness expands for wider shoulders & chest.

The NextFit has made me wish we'd purchased this from the get-go and spared ourselves the expense of buying & installing a slew of infant car seats & convertible seats. But, now we know and we are so happy with this!
