Healthy Energy Boosting Drinks

Hello! Today, I will be sharing how I'm making the switch from sweets & using healthier alternatives to boost my energy & get fit as part of a collaboration with #CollectiveBias Inc. & it's advertisers. #SweetWarmUp #ad:) As always all opinions are my own:)!
We started off the year, like many other years, setting goals & challenges to grow & improve ourselves in various areas of our lives. One of my goals this year was to improve my energy levels and make healthier choices.

The last few months I have had a spike in fatigue & I know part of that has had to do with my poor eating habits{I totally caved in to all those holiday sweets}. Now that we are done with traveling & are home Kyle & I have really gotten back on track in the healthy eating department. We are now down a few pounds and are feeling alot better! It's crazy how quickly the pounds melt away when you eat cleaner & add a few health-boosters into your diet.

Over the years I've found that I am quite the stress eater. So, in order to combat this & separate hunger from stress, I've gotten into the routine of making myself a warm cup of tea {either Bigelow's decaffeinated Green tea or Chamomile tea} alongside my favorite sweetener {of course}. I do this right before I'm about to start my day & it always does the trick. Leaving me, relaxed & ready to face the day.
Side note: Isn't this reindeer mug darling?
 I've also started adding more berries into my diet. They are packed with antioxidants {which fight diseases} & fiber {which help you feel fuller}.
Don't these look delicious?
Something the whole family really enjoys is Agua Fresca {meaning fresh water}. It's basically a super healthy version of lemonade. This drink is so refreshing & is both nutritious & delicious!
I like to add a bit of truvia® in mine because it's a tasty zero calorie sweetener.
As well as Chia seeds, since they are a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids{even better than flax seeds} and they help keep you hydrated due to their ability to absorb 9-10x their weight in water. They also contain: fiber,protein, calcium, magnesium, copper, iron & zinc. Amazing right?
Chia seeds are flavorless & soften up once they've been in water for about 5-10 minutes.
Oh and did I mention this also qualifies as a detox drink? You can start cleansing your system, one yummy drink at a time;)!
I've included the recipe below, in case you'd like to give it a try. It's super simple but its a crowd pleaser{at least in our home}!
Agua Fresca Recipe
 Water {32 oz}
 Ice {1 Cup}
Juice of 2 Lemons
 Berries or Mango {1 Cup}
 Truvia® to taste

 1 Tablespoon Chia seeds
In a pitcher add your favorite fruit{chopped},lemon juice, Chia seeds, ice and water. Mix thoroughly, so the seeds don't stay at the top of the cup. Set it aside to allow for the Chia seeds to soften. After eight minutes, you can pour yourself a drink & enjoy!

Ok, I've shared one of my New Year's resolutions with you guys, now I'd love to hear some of yours:)! Thanks so much for reading!
