Healthy Snack Recipe: Apple Sandwiches

I first tried these little sandwiches over a year ago after doing a gluten-free diet. I didn't have the highest of expectations, because I LOVED the classic PB&J sandwiches{who doesn't right?}. But these have rocked our world. They are a healthier & refreshing twist on the classic sandwich.
This little snack is suprisingly filling and incredibly delicious. Even the hubby craves these from time to time{that's saying a lot}.

I love to eat these mostly after gym workouts & they keep me full for hours. But this snack is great for both adults and kids{plus the kiddos can help make them}.  I also love that you can modify these to be completely allergy free. We prefer peanut butter in ours, but you could easily use different types of butters to fit your dietary needs.

So here's what you'll need:
The first step is to core & slice your apples. 
                                      Next, you'll add your favorite nut butter, we prefer peanut butter.
Then, you'll add some raspberries.
Lastly, you'll layer your banana on top of the raspberries & top with the other apple slice. 
Now you can enjoy;)!
Apple Sandwiches
Makes 3 sandwiches

1 Banana

1 medium Apple
1/2 cup of Raspberries
 5 tablespoons of Peanut Butter
Instructions:
1. Core and slice the apple into thin rounds. {If you don't have an apple corer, you can slice the apple first and then cut out the centers with a knife or cookie cutter}
2. Spread  peanut butter on all of the apple slices and layer the raspberries and bananas.   
3. Top with the remaining apple slices to form sandwiches.
