On Saturday we had a party with friends to celebrate Mallorie's 6th birthday. This was her big thing this year-she really wanted to have a friends party, especially since last year we didn't have a party & opted for a theme park. I'm so glad we had it though, because it was so fun to see her with her buddies, she had a smile plastered on her face the whole time. I'm pretty sure she had the time of her life!
Since Mallorie has had a fascination with mermaids ever since I can remember we opted for a Little Mermaid theme. I didn't know how much energy I'd have to devote to planning her birthday party since I feel very pregnant & my energy levels are at an all time low. But, thankfully I kept things pretty simple, went with low key food options & kept my crafting to a minimal, which helped this party feel like a breeze.
Here are a few pictures from the party.
We had a couple games planned for the party: pin the shell on Ariel & the Little Mermaid piñata. Love these easy entertaining options!
I almost made Mallorie's birthday cake again this year, but then I remembered how much fun making her 3 ft. Repunzel cake was & went with cupcakes. So happy about this decision! I felt so burnt out last year!
After she blew out her birthday candle, I asked her what she wished for. She said she wished she could be a mermaid:D. That's a tough wish to make come true...but I guess Halloween is just around the corner so maybe it will come true;).The princess jump house was probably the kid's favorite thing. I know my kids love it! Every morning that's the first thing they ask about. So glad we got this, I can see them playing with this for years & years!
She had such a great birthday party, I think she will cherish these memories for a really long time! So grateful for her friends for making her feel special & loved!
Aren't birthdays just the best?
