I feel like I've been stuck in a beauty rut the last few months. With my ever-growing belly {and let's be honest, just all around body growing to gigantic proportions}, I've had the hardest time feeling like my old self. I miss the days when I had an excess amount of energy, normal levels of hormones coursing through my body, and confidence! I know in a few weeks time, I will have bigger things to worry about when the baby arrives.  So, I'm making the most out of today, & sharing a fun ombre nail tutorial + pedicure. In the hopes of getting a much needed self esteem booster!
It's so interesting to me how pregnancy can drastically effect your natural genetics. For example, my skin is normally pretty healthy. But, when I'm pregnant that all goes out the window: my skin likes to flare up with breakouts & get overly dry in random areas{like my feet}. And, since It feels like I haven't seen my feet in decades, I guess it makes sense how they could have been severely neglected.
Since, the summer heat is still out in full force, I'm not planning on packing up my flip flops anytime soon. That's why on my last Target run, I made sure to pick up something that would aid my dryness, as well as some pedicure essentials.
First step in my pampering session is to soak your feet in warm water{5-10 minutes}.
Then you'll apply Jergens wet skin moisturizer to your feet{this Monoi Oil is my favorite}. In order to maximize absorption & retain moisture, you'll apply while feet are still wet.

Once you're feet have dried, apply a base coat of your neutral nail polish to have a nice base.
Then, take out your makeup sponge & apply two nail polish colors onto the sponge. {I like to have the colors overlap in the middle}.
Blot the sponge a few different times until the whole nail is covered. You'll want to reapply nail polish to the sponge after every nail.

Once your toes look like they've been kissed by rainbows, it means it's time to get your nail polish remover out & clean off the excess off your cuticles. For extra longevity, you can apply a clear coat of polish over nails. But that's it! Super easy right?
If you didn't have to keep reapplying nail polish after every nail, this would be just as fast as painting your nails a solid color. I really like the look of ombre nails, plus they add some much needed cuteness into my life:). I also feel a lot better about my skin, it's amazing what a little TLC{in the form of a bottle} can do for you!
Have you tried these yet? Starting on 9/13 Target's circular will have an extra 5% savings on these, so keep an eye out for them! {I found mine at Target on an end cap}
Thanks so much for reading! Have a wonderful day!
