DIY Ottoman Makeover

Hello! I hope you had a wonderful & relaxing weekend! We were quite busy this weekend finishing up last minute projects & checking off the last pending items on my to-do list.

Something that I have meaning to do for weeks now is reupholster an old leather ottoman{for a friend}. This sad looking ottoman has been lying around our house for way too long & I'm so happy to report that it's finally done{& my home is now free of it}. Below are a few before pictures I took before stripping it down & starting the makeover.
Like all reupholstering jobs, the hardest part is always the demolition. Such was the case with this ottoman since it had what felt like a never ending amount of upholstery nails. But after those were removed, I just used our handy glue gun & staple gun to secure the fabric to the furniture piece, and then added upholstery nails to cover up the seams.

If you want a detailed step by step tutorial on how to reupholster a chair you can take a look at this or this.
Below are the after pictures.
