DIY Baby's Breath Flower Crown Tutorial

If you follow me on Instagram, you have already seen a preview of these little flower crowns{here & here & here}. Originally, I made a few of them for Madison's baby blessing to add a flair of femininity to our looks. But now I have to admit I'm a bit obsessed with them! I just love the look of these delicate little flowers! So, today I'm sharing a little tutorial so you can make these for yourself or a lucky friend:).
Here's what you'll need:
Flowers, Floral tape, wire & scissors.
The first step is to trim your flowers, making sure to leave a few inches of stem {all about the same length} and set them aside.
Next you'll need to measure the circumference of your head & cut the wire accordingly.  {since my wire was pretty thin I wrapped it 2 times to have a strong base}
At this point you can go ahead and wrap the floral tape around your wire.{I opted for a more natural look & only used the tape when I had a sharp wire that needed to be covered}
You'll start with a single sprig & anchoring the wire by securely wrapping it around the stem & your wire-base. Then, line up the second stem over the previous wired stem and gently wrap the stems together with your wire.
Bunch as many buds together as you like (more for a fuller crown, less for a sparse look). Continue this process, making sure to work your way around in the same direction.
TIP: You can also cut a long piece of wire and just gradually add-in sprigs, instead of having to cut small wire pieces each time. This cuts down tremendously & makes the coiling/wrapping process much easier!
Pay attention to the density of your crown as you are making it, so that it looks even throughout. If you notice your crown looks a little sparse, simply add-in a few more sprigs in that section.
Bunch as many buds together as you like (more for a fuller crown, less for a sparse look),
Continue adding bunches until you’ve reached the original starting point.
That's it!! Now the crown is finished!!
 I just love the look of these little flower crowns! They're so beautiful & really easy to make!
For a slightly different look, you can also add a bow at the end or even spray paint the flowers gold. Enjoy!
Have a wonderful day!!
