I love when the weather warms up enough so that we can enjoy the outdoors again! We love spending time on our patio and watching the water pass through the creek in our backyard, but mostly we love all the yummy food & entertaining we get to do once Spring rolls in! Hello yummy grilled food!
One of my all time favorite foods on the grill is Carne Asada Kabobs. Why? Because its delicious and it reminds me of my childhood living in Baja California. Plus it's really fun to eat & easy to customize. My kids are 10x more likely to eat their dinner when they can help make it and of course when they get to eat it with their fingers, so this is an all around win for us!
One thing I love about entertaining in the summer is that I can add lots of bright and beautiful colors into our decor. One color I am loving this year is Lagoon Blue. I've been slowly sneaking it into our home decor over the last couple of years but now it's crossed over into our kitchen & entertaining decor! What do you think?

As I was shopping at Kroger last week, I noticed that Rubbermaid had their new Summer Limited Edition collection out, and in my favorite color, so of course I had to buy their platter & pitcher! The platter actually made the perfect salsa bar, because it kept the different sides nicely separated {plus it's leak-proof & easy to store}.
If you're looking for some quality serving containers for your next party, or just want a cute new reusable bottle {20 oz.}, head on over to Kroger, because right now, you can get extra savings on Rubbermaid Summer products{here}. And don't worry these great Rubbermaid products are also available at any Kroger Banner store location!

Aren't they cute?
Back to the Kabobs though, here's all you'll need for this recipe: flank steak, cilantro, onion, limes, oranges, lemons and a handful of seasonings.

The marinade for the steak is pretty simple but super delicious!
Simply sprinkle meat with cumin, garlic salt, red pepper flakes, paprika, and steak seasoning.
Then add garlic, cilantro and onions.
And add the juice of a lime, orange and lemon. As well as a little olive oil, then cover & refrigerate for a couple hours.
After you've let the meat marinade, cut it into cubes and put it on your skewers & grill it up!
