Pick Your Own Berry Farm!

Although, I could do without the insane allergies I get this time of year, it is still a favorite of mine. Why, you ask? Mainly because it means strawberry season has begun and they're in high supply! Oh, how I love strawberries!
Last year, I heard of a local Pick-your-own farm with rows and rows of delicious berries. At the time I was six months pregnant, exhausted and more often than not over-heated, suffice it to say we didn't pick any berries {all summer long:D}. But this morning we finally made it over to it, explored their little market and stocked up on deliciously ripe strawberries {that were hand-picked by my little minions}.
The girls were happy to get to "work" and start filling their buckets.
..well at least the ones that could walk. Madison was perfectly content to sit in the stroller and watch.
On our path to the strawberry patch, we read some fun facts about strawberries like: strawberries won't continue to ripen after they've been picked. Which was a very helpful lesson for the girls, and helped us pick only the best ones!
 Like these:).
Yum! I'm already thinking of what we will make with our "harvest" {I mean, the ones that don't get instantly inhaled by me, of course}.

The weather was a little iffy this morning, we weren't sure if it was going to rain. But, thankfully the rain held off, and it turned out to be perfect for our farm outing.
Here's a look at Hayden's pickings. She was such a trooper out there, picking fruit is tough, and sometimes questionable{since you have bugs going in between the plants}, but she did great! They all did awesome and didn't complain once {which is the true sign of a successful outing in my opinion:D}!
Alright, I'm off to make some yummy food with these. I'm thinking fruit roll ups would be a lot of fun to make with the girls {and of course eat}.
Any other ideas of what to do with strawberries:)?
