Don't you wish there was a reset button in life? I sure do! I know I could use it right around the time I have a baby. Unfortunately there's no easy fix, or magic pill that will transform you overnight, there's just the good ol' fashion way. But that doesn't mean there aren't some really great habits & tricks that help to boost your overall health! Today, I'd like to share a handful of things that help me prioritize my health and make better decisions.
Prep: Meal prep is probably one of the best things I’ve found to keep on track with eating
healthy.  Especially with three little girls who need my attention 24/7. When I can prepare my meals and snacks a few days in advance I set myself up for health success and its really easy to avoid temptation. It usually only takes two hours but then I have a weeks worth of food ready to go {super helpful on hectic days}!
One of my favorite lunches to prep is this Spring Salad. Because it's jam packed with nutrients and keeps me feeling full for hours. Here's what you need to make it: 1/2 cup rotisserie chicken, 1/2 cup sliced red & yellow bell pepper {grilled}, 1/4 cup purple cabbage and 2 cups of spring lettuce mix. You can add a tablespoon of your favorite dressing, or eat as is. It takes all of five minutes to throw together and is so yummy!
Plan: Before you run out to the grocery store, its good to have a plan in place of what you're realistically going to eat. If you're just starting out, don't change every single thing you're doing. Start out slow. Stick with recipes you and your family already enjoy and simply modify them to make them a tad bit healthier.
Move: Finding the time to exercise is always a challenge! I've found that something as easy as throwing my running shoes in the trunk of my car makes me more prone to get a workout in on busy days when I'm on-the-go {like when I'm waiting for my kid's after-school activities to end}.
Stash Away: Because it's really hard to get all my vitamins and nutrients everyday, I like to keep  Centrum MultiGummies in the car & Centrum Vitamints {love their new Raspberry Mint} in my purse. I know many of us would take better care of ourselves if it was just a tad bit easier. This has taken the guesswork out of it for me and made it so easy to take care of myself! I use to dread taking my vitamins, because they were huge and chalky, luckily those days are well behind us and we have so many better options nowadays!
Right now is a great time to get your Multi-vitamins at Walgreens because they will make a donation to Vitamin Angels with every Vitamin purchase, so not only will you be closer to a healthier you but so will someone else!
