Perfect Combo: Miniature Golf & Ice Cream Party!

A special thanks to Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream for letting us try their delicious ice cream & sponsoring our fun little party!
Summer is almost over which means we’re supposed to abruptly jump back into our school year routines. Basically, put an end to all the fun we've been having...like staying up way past bedtimes, living in our pajamas and eating way too many treats! But before that happens, I thought we could have one last hurrah and have a fun miniature golf night & enjoy some Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream out on the deck. It was a low key night for us but it was filled with lots of smiles & laughter, which in my book is the best kind of night!

Leave me a comment below telling me how you're soaking up your summer nights and I'll be picking one to win a $100 Visa gift card (so you can get everything you need for your own little party) - what is your favorite way to spend a summer evening?
We kicked off the evening with miniature golf. Both our girls really enjoy playing golf since it's the sport their daddy loves. Kyle is an avid golfer and over the years has been taking the girls out to play with him {mostly just to the golf range} but they absolutely love it!
Mallorie has become quite the little player, she hears things once and never forgets it! She was even teaching me a thing or two:)!
Hayden loved having daddy's undivided attention as he showed her some of his putting tricks to improve her game:)!
Madison had fun too, mostly trying to sabotage her sisters scores by taking the ball and crawling away. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention she is totally crawling now? She has become quite good at it over the last couple weeks!
And she's picked up such a diva personality these days...not sure where she got it from, but we've all been playing along:D. She is sweet most of the time, but she has her moments where she is ALL SASS!
We only got through a couple rounds of mini golf before everyone's eyes started wandering over to the dessert table, more specifically the Jack Nicklaus Ice CreamThe girls loved having so many delicious flavors to choose from {and did their best to sample every one of them}!
I had a pretty simple bar with the toppings my kiddos enjoy + some glasses set out in case they wanted a yummy shake too but everyone ended up being content with just ice cream cones.
We were really impressed by the quality and flavors of the ice cream.  This weekend was the first time we'd ever tried Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream, so we didn't know what all to expect. I can honestly say without any reservations now, that it is really delicious! My favorite flavor was  Black CherryKyle loved the Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirl, while the girls were all too content with the Strawberry lemonade and a handful of sprinkles:D.
Here's a fun tidbit: Jack Nicklaus Ice Cream was developed in partnership with legendary pro-golfer Jack Nicklaus & The Schwan Food Company with the goal of bringing families together with an affordable, delicious dessert {mission accomplished}. The ice cream is  really delicious, so I hope they stay in business for a really long time, plus you can feel good about eating it{in large quantities} because a  portion of their sales goes to support Children's Miracle Network Hospitals :D!
It's been a few days since we had our last minute ice cream party, but already the girls have been begging asking to do it all over again. I might have to oblige them this  weekend, when we go camping in our backyard:)!

It's just too good to resist:)!

Just ask these two. :)
Did you know July is National Ice Cream month? Don't worry, I didn't either until recently. I guess we'll just have to eat a little extra to make up for our ignorance:).
Nothing quite says summer like ice cream on a warm evening, right?
Here's to having more laid back nights and soaking up the last bit of summer!

Don't forget to leave me a comment below telling me how you're soaking up your summer nights and I'll be picking one to win a $100 Visa gift card ! Good luck!
