Let me just start off by saying, I love food. I love to cook it, bake it and well eat it of course. But ever since our kids turned 3 & 4 years old (basically when they got old enough to voice their opinion) my cooking changed for the worse (mainly it became less adventurous) and it has not been the same ever since. Recently we rebooted our dinner menu and tried out some new delicious recipes from HelloFresh and it has been marvelous! Keep reading to get all the fun details on that, plus a fun DIY tutorial to refresh your wood kitchen utensils & give your kitchen a bright and cheerful pick-me-up!
I don't know about you, but I feel like we tend to be pretty good about trying a few new recipes at the beginning of the month but mid way through the month we always seem to revert back to the same old monotonous recipes. I wanted to put an end to that, as well as establish a consistent back-to-school routine, so I enlisted the help of HelloFresh

Have you heard of them before? HelloFresh packages everything you need, with easy practical steps to make more than a meal {an experience}. They’ve developed, tested, and verified recipes that will work in everyone's kitchen, so all you have to do is prepare the meal & sit back and enjoy {without any waste}. I love love love that I don't have to a. rack my brain meal planning, b. spend hours grocery shopping, and I can just get to cooking and enjoying a meal in 30 minutes or less!
Each HelloFresh box comes with three meals {each meal serves two adults and two children, or four adults totaling 12 servings per box}. Plus, all the HelloFresh recipes are nutritionally balanced to include a protein, fresh vegetables, and a starch and come with a complete nutritional profile.
What I love about their service is that their menus are constantly changing with the availability of farm fresh seasonal ingredients, and they're committed to giving you only the best quality at your doorstep!
Are you a fan of Jamie Oliver? If so, then you're in for a real treat, because he's recently teamed up with HelloFresh to provide great cooking inspiration and exciting new recipes  to subscriber's doors {like this yummy Shrimp Risotto}.

They've really made it easier, tastier, and healthier than ever to enjoy the experience of cooking & eating together at home!
Speaking of home, are you ready for the super simple wood kitchen utensils refresh tutorial I promised earlier?
All you need is your wood utensils, spray paint and painter's tape. I used duct tape, because it's what I had on hand, but it was such a pain to remove! So, take my word for it and opt for painter's tape, it will save you time & energy:)!
First off, decide how much of the utensils you want to be painted {I wanted 5 inches}, so I measured and wrapped the tape {in a straight line} from 5 inches and up. Then, sprayed one even base coat on both sides and let it dry before applying a second coat.
Once it has absorbed enough pigment, you can let it dry overnight, then remove tape the next morning and start enjoying:)!
This is a really simple project, but the finished product is so cute!I love it!
PS. If you've been on the fence about trying out HelloFresh, you can save $40 on your first purchase using code {CHRISTIANH35}:). Enjoy!
Have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
