In case you’re new around here, I’ll fill you in on a secret: our family loves adventure & oh yes the weekends. We spent almost every day of our summer going on family hikes, playing at parks, exploring nature, swimming, splashing in the creek and going to museums. In other words, getting our fill of untamed happiness. Family time is near and dear to our hearts. And when we have a time to all be together, like on the weekends, then we try to make the most of it and do something out of the ordinary and memorable.
After our New York trip we took a couple of weeks ago, our car was in dire need of an oil change. So, before we could delve back into another weekend adventure we had to make a quick pit stop by our Walmart's Auto Care Center and get the Pit Crew Oil Change with Quaker State® Oil
After the quick oil change, we hopped back in the car and went back to our weekend adventure. We decided to finish Mallorie's birthday celebrations at one of our local amusement parks. It's only about a half an hours drive from where we live, and one of her favorite places to explore.
I think I've always held family time on a pedestal, since it was something that was not always easy for us to have growing up {with my mom being a single parent & newly transplanted to the US from Mexico}.

One thing, my brother and I would always look forward to as kids was summertime. Mainly, because we'd get to spend part of our summers with my grandparents in Mexico, it was such a wonderful time, and one that to this day I still cherish!
Now that my kids are getting a little older, I realize how quickly & precious this time we have together is and how very soon {faster than I'd like}, they will be all grown up with families and careers of their own. That's why, it's so important we do our best to soak up all of our family time, making memories together!
When we’re not on an adventure, we are dreaming of the next time we can go back! We are so very grateful to be able to spend so much time together doing exactly what we love!

What do you love to do on the weekends?
