One question I am asked a lot this time of year is: “how do you hang garland, wreaths and stockings around the house without getting holes all over the place?”

Today, I am shedding light on that great question + sharing a tutorial for how to hang garland on your front porch.
With Thanksgiving nearly here, and the temperature starting to dip into the low forties, I figured we were close enough to December to start thinking about the next big holiday!

So, over the weekend I broke out our Christmas decorations and spruced up our front door to create a cozy & inviting entryway.

Want to know my secret weapon for all my outdoor hanging dilemmas?

These Command™ Outdoor Light Clips & Command™ Outdoor hooks might look small but they sure are mighty! This clear variety is nearly invisible to the naked eye and my go-to for Holiday decor because they're incredibly strong, and don't damage your walls.

Ready for my simple tips for hanging garland around your door frame?

STEP 1: Clean Foundation
You want to make sure you're working with a clean surface. So, take a minute or two to clean off the area, and dust off cobwebs, dirt or moisture that may have accumulated.

STEP 2: Adhere Command™ Brand Products

Now that you've primed your door frame, you're ready to adhere your Command Brand products around the perimeter of the door frame. Simply peel the little adhesive strips and adhere them to the wall. I found it helpful to place the Command™ Outdoor hooks above the door frame, and then on the sides alternate between Command™ Outdoor Light Clips and Command™ Outdoor hooks (every few feet).
STEP 3: Press & Rest
Once you've pressed the clips onto the wall, It's really important that you allow them an hour to rest before you place anything on them.
STEP 4: Affix The Garland
Wether you have one continuous strand of garland or many, it's easiest to start by draping the garland over one of the sides and making your way over to the opposite side.
 STEP 4: Layer Up
Now, that you've draped your garland, you can decide if you'd like to make it look more elegant by adding in another layer or adding little accent pieces to it {like pine cones and cranberries}.
 STEP 5: Add Ribbon
The trick to layering ribbon onto your garland is to not worry too much about it. Just thread it in large loose loops throughout the garland and step back & enjoy!
 STEP 5: Add A Wreath
Now throw on a festive wreath on the door and you're done!
I’m still doing little bits to the house here and there, and I'll show you what I've done indoors thus far Tomorrow. So stay tuned for that!
What do you use Command™ Brand products for during the holidays?

Ps. You can find a wide variety of Command Brand product at Walmart {near the Holiday aisle}! Happy decorating!!!
