It was originally suppose to be a retreat where I got to hangout with a few old friends, but life happened, and I only got to see one of them, which was totally fine! It turned out to be a great bonding time for us and such a relaxing retreat (some might say an unforgettable one :D)!
I didn't plan on taking any pictures, but the sunset on the beach was just too gorgeous to pass up. I feel like living in Ohio has definitely made me appreciate the little things: like the sunshine, warm climate and clear skies. You seriously, don't get enough of those out here(or at least during the winter season)!
While on our trip, I also got to over-come one of my fears, or more appropriately I got to face one of my fears by getting on a Ferris-wheel (because, I am still very much terrified of heights). I'm happy to report that I survived and it was in fact just as scary as I had imagined. But, I'm glad I did it, none-the-less! One of my goals for this year is to step outside my comfort-zone a little more, try a little harder in all areas of my life to stretch & grow (no risk, no reward, right?).
Now that I'm home, I'm kind of regretting my strike on taking pictures, because I feel like we did so much, but now I hardly have any pictures to show for it. Oh, well. I really enjoyed being completely in-the-moment and not worrying about any little thing except having a good time and making memories.
That's what vacations are all about, right?
