It's that time of year again, when your tax-returns are back and you want to stretch every single penny! Our latest adventure was made possible through our extra savings with Walmart Family Mobile. Keep reading to find out how you too can maximize your tax cash!
The other night we decided to combine two of our girl's favorite activities into one event (camping & movie night), but instead of going to a campsite- we did it right in our own backyard. It turned out to be a huge success, so I wanted to share some of the highlights + a few tips to make your next movie night a hit!
It was truly the best of both worlds, because we didn't have to spend very much time packing or traveling, and could easily get more refreshments when needed, while still enjoying the beauty of being outdoors. The girls had a blast!
I really enjoyed it myself! It was the perfect way to unwind after a stressful week and my phone breaking. It's crazy how out of the loop I felt for those two days before I finally headed to Walmart & picked up a new phone (the Samsung Galaxy On5).
I've been converted to the Walmart Family Mobile Plus Plan life for nearly 3 years, with Unlimited Talk, Text, & Data (which includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE then 2G). The rates are affordable ($49.88), the plans and coverage are more than substantial for the needs of our family and I love the perks (especially the free VUDU movie per month, a $7 value, the same as a new release rental)!
We typically watch our VUDU movies on our Smart TV, but since we were camping we just brought our laptop with us to view the movie. The girls didn't mind one-bit that they were watching the movie on a smaller screen, they were just happy to have a change in scenery!
Alright, are you ready for 3 tips that will insure you have an unforgettable movie night camping in your backyard?
1. Cater to your crowd
An easy way to make your event extra special is by bringing something each of your guests enjoys eating. My girls aren't too picky when it comes to camping food (they'll pretty much devour any fruit, muffins or sweet/salty snacks we send their way), but they all have their favorites. For Hayden, that's marshmallows:), she loves those more than just about any candy-bar! So, we always bring a good supply of them just for her:).
2. Make it Luxe
Since you're not really camping out in the wilderness, you can afford to bring a few decor pieces outdoors to create a cool & luxe ambiance. Which in-turn will make your experience a little more luxurious & memorable.
Bring the essentials and then some cozy extras to entice you to stay in "bed" all day! That means, pillows, blankets, maybe even stuffed animals (or whatever comfort-items your kiddos can't be without).
Do you do movie night regularly?
What is your favorite activity to do as a family?
