Flowers For Days

The weather on our last week in California was brutal, the temperatures were consistently in the high nineties, so we tried to spend a good chunk of our time by a pool or by the ocean.

One early morning though, we braved the sweat and sun for the sake of these gorgeous sunflowers and picturesque views.
A friend told us about this secluded pocket of beauty in the desert, and we just had to see it for ourselves. And boy, I'm so glad we did. It was breathtaking!
We have a sunflower field by us here in Cincinnati but I've never gone. I think this little field trip has rekindled my motivation to go explore it!
Madison's favorite thing when snapping pictures is to close her eyes and give me a cheesy smile (little stinker:D). She is quite a little character! She is growing up to be such a fun, silly and strong-spirited little girl!
This little spot felt truly like an oasis, and a reprieve from the desert landscape we had grown so used to seeing!
I adore my little girls! Every time I blink they are sprouting like weeds! They are so much work, but they are so very worth it!
Have you ever visited a flower farm?
