As parents, we all love capturing memories of our children as they accomplish new things and reach new heights in their lives. What better way to celebrate your little ones' milestones than with a stylish growth chart that can also hold their pictures?!
It's unbelievable to me, how quickly babies grow up! Time just seems to go by faster and faster. It feels like just the other day, I was bringing home Madison from the hospital wearing her preemie-sized Huggies® diapers & now she's sporting a size four!

So, in an effort to capture & cherish our little ones tiny-sizes we decided to make this fun DIY growth chart. It's stylish enough that we could display it in our family room, but also timeless enough that we could grow with it & appreciate it as we get older.

So, here's everything you'll need to make it:
SUPPLIES
1×6 board
1×4 board
Spray paint
Brad nails
DIY Wood Stain
Sand-paper
Miter saw
Pencil
Painter's tape
Square tool
Tape measure
Nail-gun & compressor
Spackle/wood putty
thin paint brush

INSTRUCTIONS:
1. We started by creating the 3 arrows, using the 1×4 board, measuring out the 45-degree angle using the square tool as a guide.
2.After we made our cuts with the miter saw, we moved on to painting & staining the wood.

3. Once the wood was dry, I distressed it using a light-grade sandpaper.
4. Next, I lined up & centered the tail-end arrows and nailed them into place.

5. Next, I grabbed some putty and filled in the holes and re-painted the arrows.

6. Next, I measured out the growth chart and taped-off where the lines would go & painted them.

7. Next, I measured out where the clips would go (3 inches from the edge) & secured them using screws.

8. The last step is to paint your numbers on or add you could also use vinyl numbers.

I just love how this turned out! My favorite part are these clips for pictures because it's such a fun way for little ones to see themselves at various heights & reflect on how much they've grown.

Aside from displaying cherished memories, this growth chart is also super practical & can be used to hang more than just pictures. I've found myself using the clips to hang things I am prone to forget on hectic days (please tell me I'm not the only one who rummages through their house in order to find a Huggies diaper).
If you're a regular on the blog, then you already know I'm a long time Huggies fan (8 years & counting)! It's the brand we trusted with our first, and its the brand we continue to choose for our youngest. But, I've recently had my eyes opened to Sam's Club and the benefits of purchasing Huggies diapers with them.
My favorite stand-out feature, that I've used the most since joining is their Scan & Go service, which allows you to bypass checkout lines by paying via their Scan & Go app. It's a lifesaver when shopping with young children!
If you have little ones in diapers, I highly recommend investing in a Sam's Club membership, they currently have a great deal going on where if you join now online (using THIS link) & purchase 3 participating Huggies® products (in one transaction) you'll get an instant $45 savings + you'll also get an extra $5 e-gift card (woo hoo!). You can also print off the form and take it in-store & they'll honor this promotion.
If you guys end up making the growth chart, be sure to tag me on Instagram so I can see your awesome results!
Have a wonderful day!
