Family & Gratitude

These pictures were from our trip to Winter Park, earlier in the year.  It feels like ages ago since we took these pictures. Life sure was much simpler back then, when our biggest worry revolved around what place we were going to go explore.

So much has happened since then that makes me want to cherish and squeeze my little ones even tighter.  We've recently been reminded of the fragile and precarious nature of this life, and it's made me really slow down and focus on what truly matters in this life: Family,  faith, service, kindness, generosity.

I've resolved myself to finish the year happier, more connected to those around me, more at peace and to strive to be more inspired.

William Morris said, "The true secret of happiness lies in taking a genuine interest in all the details of life". I truly believe in that sentiment and that as we think less about our needs and focus on those of others we can feel more peace and happiness in our own lives.
It's also very important to recognize the blessings in our lives.  I know it's not always easy, especially when you experience trials and sorrows but we all have something to be grateful for, and as we ponder on what those things may be we will start to recognize our abundance of blessings.
What are you grateful for?
