Indoor Quality Time

Thank you Goliath Games for sponsoring this post. Pick up your favorite game today to enjoy the holiday season and beyond!
I love this time of year when all of our schedules line up and we get to spend extra time together. One of my favorite ways to spend quality time during the holidays is by playing games together. We have a pretty formidable game closet already but we decided to add a few more games to our collection this year. I'm so glad we did because our girls have been consumed with playing them.
A few weeks ago, our girls hosted a playdate where they taught their friends how to play Shark Bite, Giggle Wiggle, Pop the Pig, Doggie Doo, and Catch the Fox. It's safe to say they had a blast together. All of these games have an element of surprise, which create excitement, laughter, and hilarious expressions.
This game is so exciting to play and is a huge hit with the girls. In Catch the Fox, the fox gets into the henhouse, and kids take turns stuffing the chickens in his pockets until he has too many chickens and his pants fall down (dropping the chickens and letting them escape). Whoever rescues the most chickens & takes them to their chicken coop wins.

Shark Bite is Madison's favorite-hands down (she loves the element of surprise in this game)!
In Shark Bite, you roll the dice to see how many colorful sea creatures you will reel-in, whoever doesn't get "bit" wins. What I love about this game is that it can be played in as little as five minutes and that it fully engages my kids!
A bonus with this game is that it doesn't require any batteries (hooray for low-maintenance games)!
Kids love the suspense of Pop Pig® as they watch his belly grow; the player who makes his belly burst loses the game.
Hayden and Mallorie's favorite is Doggie Doo. This has piqued every single kid's attention. They love the idea and are always laughing when the "Doo" pops out. In this game, you feed your doggie and take turns squeezing the leash until the doo is out.  If you cleaned up the doo, you get a token. The player who has the most tokens at the end of the game wins!
Out of all the Goliath games, I'd have to say I liked Giggle Wiggle the best. It required the most skill by having players be fast and precise as they placed the colored marbles on the caterpillar before it spun around.

I know this time of year can get a little hectic but don't forget to make room for playtime!
