Since moving here, a couple weeks ago, we've gone to the Columbus zoo a handful of times, each time only seeing a small portion of it because it's so expansive. On our latest trip we got to ride camels + check-off something from our bucket-lists that is truly unforgettable!
The girls absolutely loved riding the camels! They didn't show any signs at all of fear. I think they get their braveness from their daddy (he's fearless)!
So, any guesses as to what bucket-list item we did???
So, Kyle and I have our hearts set on going to Africa (Someday when our girls are a little older) we will go on a safari and stay at the Giraffe Manor in Kenya. You get to eat breakfast with giraffes and see them up close and personal! Their hotel just seems absolutely wonderful to us!
But until we get to realize that dream of ours, we are going to fully enjoy the giraffe experience offered at our local zoo!
We went during the day while the hubby was working, so I was a little outnumbered and feeling a bit nervous about taking all three of my girls to try this experience. But we were happily surprised at how gentle these creatures were! Mallorie was the first to feed them, and she didn't even look scared doing it!
Hayden was really nervous whenever she had to feed the giraffe shorter pieces of lettuce. She ended up getting licked a few times, which didn't hurt, so she just laughed it off.
I loved seeing Madison's giddy reaction to feeding the giraffes! She was so darling!!!
This was such a priceless little adventure! We will definitely be doing this again! It was so incredibly fun!
Because I love hearing other people's bucket-lists-I'll share 6 of mine that involve animals.
1. Ride an elephant in Asia.
2. Watch baby turtles find their way into the ocean.
3. Hold a feline cub (white tiger is at the top of my list).
4. Ride a camel across the Sahara.
5. Walk with Lions in Africa.
6. Visit a panda sanctuary (and maybe even hold a cub)!
What are some animal related items on your bucket-list?
