If you are hosting a tailgating or homegating party for the big game this year than you’ve come to the right place. Over the years I've created so many fun and festive football-themed snacks and desserts to share with you here & I can’t wait to show you what I’ve come up with this time around.

And no Big Game celebration would be complete without the official drink of college football fans, which happens to be my drink of choice~Dr Pepper®. I just love the rich, indulgent, one of a kind flavor of Dr Pepper, really, nothing else compares! Plus, they have so many delicious flavors to choose from (last I heard it was 23 flavors).
Since I'm planning to host some epic gatherings this tailgating season, I decided to stock up on Dr Pepper at Dollar General, as well as pick up some other awesome football party must-haves (Cups, plates, serveware, etc) in the hopes of keeping me on budget.
For those who love a good deal, you should know that currently, when you stock up on Dr Pepper at Dollar General you earn rewards. Awesome, right?! Don't you just love when you get incentives to buy things you were already planning to get?
As someone who loves Mexican food, I guess it's no surprise that one of my favorite tailgating foods is Carnitas Walking Tacos. Not only is it absolutely delicious and filling but when the crowds come hungry, you can easily have everyone eating in under five minutes (or less)!
Dr Pepper also happens to be my secret weapon for marinating the carnitas. It adds so much flavor to the meat and makes it come out incredibly tender and moist (which leaves you wanting more instantly)!
