Happy Mother's Day!

This year, I got to spend Mother's Day with my mom, which is a rare treat as she lives across the country. But thanks to a hospital scare that had us waking our three girls in the middle of the night, we thought it'd be nice to have grandma come out earlier than expected (just in case we had any more preterm labor scares). My poor mom ended up taking the next red eye to be here for us and I just feel so blessed and so loved!
My mom has always done everything in her power to bring us happiness. She's pretty remarkable that way.
But, still, I didn't understand how much my mother loved me until I became a mother myself (and realized the extent of the sacrifices she made for us). I often marvel at how my mother was able to be a single parent, full time provider, and manage to do every needful thing for our family. Her strength and love for me has been such a guiding light throughout my motherhood journey. I'm grateful I had such a wonderful example of what it meant to be a mother! I'm also very blessed to have had so many loving mother-figures in my life, because It has helped me to better understand this mantle of motherhood.

I hope that your Mother's Day was every bit as wonderful and filled with lots of love!!!
